Meet Glenn McDonald

Glenn McDonald is the Director of Mission Integration for the Ascension Ministry Service Center in Indianapolis, Indiana, a role in which he serves as the workplace pastor for 900 associates in the healthcare industry. He leads his company’s employees into active community engagement with the poor and marginalized residents of central Indiana.

Glenn is a Presbyterian Church (USA) minister and has 33 years of congregational leadership experience. He has authored eight books on discipleship and spiritual formation, and is part of his denomination’s national teaching team for new church development. Glenn was the organizing pastor of Zionsville Presbyterian Church in suburban Indianapolis, which was identified in a 2001 study by Lilly Endowment as one of the 300 Excellent Protestant Congregations in America.

Glenn and his wife Mary Sue have four grown children and five grandchildren. He enjoys spelunking, amateur astronomy, reading, wilderness hiking, and lives in the ever-diminishing hope that his alma mater Purdue might one day win a national championship.
