Habitat for Humanity 2018 Build

We built our 26th Habitat House!

This year’s house was built for the Chandler family

at 2032 Hamilton Place in Center Point.

The building began on Thursday, September 13.

And we dedicated the house on Saturday, October 27th at 12pm.

We teamed up with other churches in our Presbytery again this year.

Brittney Chandler was born and raised in Birmingham where she graduated from Huffman High and attended Jefferson State Community College. She has worked for Regions Bank for the past 10 years, but hopes to return to school one day to be a nurse because it has always been a passion of hers. She loves helping others and encouraging people and feels that this career path would be a good fit. When not at work, Brittney enjoys spending time with her infant son, Braylon. He loves sing-a-longs, talking baby talk, and blowing bubbles. They attend Church of the Highlands.

Brittney is excited to have a place for them to call home together. She says it is “a dream come true to own my own home.” When asked what she would say to those making home ownership possible, she responded, “Thank you for your support and dedication to families such as mine. It really makes a difference and the help of giving back to others really gives mankind hope for a better future. And I thank you so much.”
